So I was tossing this idea around in my head while listening to the noon Ag report for my state- let me know what you think. Make suggestions on how to improve on it.
So I really think it is important that every producer’s opinion on agriculture get heard. What if I was to make a bi weekly (or even monthly post) about a hot topic in agriculture and then ask for you guys send in your opinions and views. Depending on how may responses I got, I could either compile them and post them at the end of the time frame or post a few a day?
This way, we could diversify what is posted here and instead of all of you guys reading just my opinion, you could see what other people feel.
Let me know!!
Should it be sold in large chain stores or strictly from the farm? Or should it not be sold at all?
Fill the in box- let me know!
The supreme court overruled California’s law that states that plants could not slaughter downer cattle and that they would have to be euthanized and removed from the premises.
I personally find this an effective move made by the supreme court and a step in the right direction away from radical agrimovements. There is nothing unsafe about meat off of a cow/ sheep/ pig that has broken bones (most commonly broken legs or fractured pelvis is the cause for edible downer cows). As long as the animal is moved and transported via legal and humane means, I have no problem with it.
What is everyone else’s opinion on the overrule?
